چکیده
The growth of the human population is causing an exponential increase in need for food. Fertilizers are one most important elements to meet this increased demand and ensure global food security. Many enhanced efficiency fertilizers, such as controlled-release fertilizers (CRFs) have been developed. Although these offer many advantages over prior generations, their high cost production well unfavorable effects on environment soil quality limited use. To mitigate issues, CRFs based biopolymers ([email protected]) represent a new generation produced by coating granules with biopolymers. In addition controlling nutrient release rate, products also enhance they reduce negative associated conventional fertilizers. This review summarizes recent advances derived used area [email protected], technologies, parameters governing behavior through organic materials, effect coated plants growth.

New Development In Slow-Release Fertilizers
There have been several recent developments in slow-release fertilizers. These materials supply nutrients continuously over an extended period in contrast to water soluble fertilizers which are immediately available after incorporation in moist soil. Slow-release fertilizers are not subject to rapid leaching loss and do not easily burn plants from over-application. The major need for slow relea...
متن کاملControlled - Release Fertilizers : Advances and Challenges
Controlledrelease fertilizers (CRFs) offer an excellent option to improve nutrients uptake by plants and reduce the environmental hazards due to excess release of chemicals. Polymer-coated fertilizers, compared to the other types of CRF, are by far the most intensively researched topic because of their great characteristics. Polymercoated fertilizers, which are less sensitive to the soil and en...

A hydrophilic macromolecular network is prepared by performing graft copolymerization of poly (sodium acrylate) chains onto salep and silica gel. The reaction parameters affecting the water absorbency of the superabsorbent composite were optimized using Taguchi method. FT-IR spectroscopy and Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) were used for confirming the s...

متن کاملPolyurethane from Liquefied Wheat Straw as Coating Material for Controlled Release Fertilizers
A new controlled release fertilizer was developed by coating urea particles with bio-based polyurethane. Coating materials were synthesized from liquefied wheat straw, isocyanate, and castor oil. The effects of liquefied solvents, mass ratio of liquid to solid, size of wheat straw, and reaction time during liquefaction process on the nitrogen release rate of polyurethane-coated urea (PCU) were ...
